Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1820647A2] The machine has a punch (51), and upstream and downstream mandrels (12, 14) respectively supporting a part to be marked and previously marked part. A monitoring camera (7) is disposed at a focal length of a marked surface of the previously marked part. The mandrel (12) displaces the part to be marked with respect to the punch by rotation around an axis (R12) and by translation parallel to axes (Y16, Z16). The movement of the mandrel (14) is identical to that of the mandrel (12). The camera moves parallel to and synchronized with a tangent line between the unit and part to be marked. An independent claim is also included for a method for marking hollow parts and controlling the quality of marking.
