Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2006051240A1] The invention relates to an improvement to bottle stoppers having a general form resembling that of a cylindrical body, defined by an upper end (4) and a lower end (5).According to the invention, the cylindrical body (1) of the stopper comprises a cylindrical wall (6) made of a molded plastic material, inside which the following is provided: an obturating structure (20) which is at least tight with respect to liquids, and a rigidifying honeycomb structure (7) which is also made of molded plastic material and which is obtained as a single piece with the cylindrical wall; the honeycomb structure (7) is made up of a plurality of juxtaposed longitudinal channels (10), said channels (10) extending from the obturating structure (20) to at least one of the upper (4) and/or lower extremities (5) of the cylindrical body (1) where it/they open out, and the form thereof is that of a bee hive, made up of channels whereby at least the majority thereof have a hexagonal or substantially hexagonal section. The obturating structure (20) advantageously consists of a molded insert (21) configured in such a way as to optimize preservation and/or evolution of the liquid contained in the bottle (e.g. a wood-type or cork-type material).
