[origin: WO2006058761A1] The invention relates to a connecting element for sheet piles, comprising a central strip (14) and two hook-type strips (16, 18) which extend therefrom and jointly form a claw-type strip (12) that has a C-shaped cross-section. The ends of the hook-type strips (16, 18) point towards each other and delimit a mouth (20) with the open ends thereof while the extended center lines (26, 28) of the ends of the hook-type strips (16, 18) intersect outside the open mouth (20). The inventive connecting element further comprises at least one connecting strip (30) which protrudes from the claw-type strip (12) and is provided with a straight neck-type strip (32) and a head-type strip (34) that has an oval cross-section. The main axis (38) of the head-type strip (34) that has an oval cross-section runs perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the neck-type strip (32).
