Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006063906A1] A regulating device for control elements such as switching, throttle or spin valves for motor vehicles, comprising a shaft (20) connected to a control engine (20). The shaft (20) is connected to a control element such as a switching valve or similar. Two pin magnets (24,26) are arranged in a given position with respect to the shaft (20) and are preferably connected to a partially crown-shaped cogwheel. The pin magnets (24,26) move during rotation of the shaft (20) in relation to a preferably fixed magnetic field sensor (22). According to the invention, the magnetic field sensor is a Hall sensor. The linear Hall sensor makes it possible to determine three different shaft positions. Two shaft positions are predefined by the pin magnets (24,26), said magnets being arranged opposite the Hall Sensor in said positions, in addition to another position wherein the Hall sensor cannot detect a magnetic field as a result of the position of the pin magnets (24, 26). In this position, a linear Hall sensor exhibits a defined bridge voltage.
