[origin: EP1825994A2] The device has pressing plates (4, 5) engraved corresponding to a structure and/or a pattern, and tool carriers (3, 6) supported in the plates, where the tool carriers are formed as a hollow body. The plates are detachably attached to the respective carriers by adhesion in a direct manner. The plates are thin, and have a thickness of 0.2 to 2 millimeter (mm). The carriers are filled with a heat or pressure transferring medium e.g. thermo-oils, and have a wall thickness of 1mm. An independent claim is also included for a method of engraving a structure in a pressing plate.
