[origin: EP1826164A1] The press has a receiving space (18) for receiving the laminar articles (12). The pressing element (32) is arranged at the pressing lever (42). The pressing lever is movable in pivoted manner around the axis of rotation (44), which is arranged between the height of the body (20) and the height of the ready position (BS). The pressing element drives a moving component in the direction towards edge of the receiving space (18) during the movement of the ready position in the pressing position. An independent claim is also included for a device to stack of laminar articles.
