Abstract (en)
A fitting assembly is provided for releasable locking a sash component (10) with respect to a main frame component (4) of an openable window structure. A first fitting member (1) connected with a main frame side member (3) and a second fitting member (12) for connection with a corresponding sash side member (11) are provided with a slidable first engagement means (8) and a second engagement member (15), respectively, with the first engagement means (8) being engageable by the second engagement member (15) only with the sash component (10) occupying an angular position with respect to the main frame component within a limited range of angular positions only around a position, in which the sash component (10) is at substantially a right angle to the main frame component (4). A third engagement means (17) provided by the first fitting member (1) is engageable by a fourth engagement member (19) at one end of an arm (20) connected with the second fitting member (12). Releasable blocking means (21) is provided in connection with said third engagement means (17) for retaining the fourth engagement member (19) with respect to the third engagement means (17) and for releasing the engagement to allow movement of the sash component to a position allowing disengagement of the second engagement member (15) from the first engagement means (8).
