[origin: EP1826794A1] The device (1) has a protection component e.g. varistor (2), with two supply terminals (3, 4), and two frames (14, 15) delimiting interstitial spaces of fixed dimension within which conducting elements (10-13) are housed. Dimensions of the interstitial spaces are determined, such that the respective conducting elements are maintained in contact with each other for providing electrical connection between them. An independent claim is also included for a method for fabricating an electrical installation protection device.
