Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006058370A1] An airborne-bacteria filter arrangement is used with an apparatus that has an internal airflow. The airflow passes through a fibrous filter arrangement that has, on its fibres, a highly toxic bacteria-killing substance which entraps and kills bacteria in the airflow. A charcoal-infused filter removes the toxic substance from the airflow, and further filters can effuse beneficial substances to the airflow. The filter arrangement is sealed from germ intrusion. The filter arrangement is used in hand dryers and other apparatus such that the airflow can be sterilised to the extent of achieving 100% bacteria removal.
