[origin: WO2006063924A1] The invention relates to a method for initialising an electronic system (1) comprising a basic interface (2) and several modular plug-in attachments (3.1 to 3.n) that are connected to said interface. The aim of the invention is to permit the flexible addition and removal of plug-in attachments (3.1 to 3.f). To achieve this, the basic interface (2) and the plug-in attachments exchange information during the initialisation of the system (1). The plug-in attachments indicate the processes (priority, time-slot pattern) that they contain. They also indicate the values (variables, functions, structures, etc.) they require to execute the processes and the values they can provide for said execution of processes. The basic interface (2) interlinks the individual plug-in attachments using the received information, in such a way that the latter receive corresponding references indicating where they can access the required values during the execution of the processes. The references are for example pointers (13) to a memory area (14) or pointers (18) to a structure (19) in another plug-in attachment.
