Die Vorrichtung dient zum Austragen von Schwerteilen aus einem Apparat zur Behandlung einer Faserstoffsuspension, insbesondere bei einem Hydrozyklon (3), der zur Abscheidung von Schwerteilen aus der Faserstoffsuspension dient. Dieser weist ein Verbindungsteil (2) auf, das an den Schwerteilauslass (4') des Apparates direkt oder indirekt angeschlossen ist und das zur Abbremsung der Rotationsströmung mit einem polygonförmigen Querschnitt versehen ist.
