The stop (1) comprises a brake (11) to reduce the opening angle of the wing of the window or door via a segment piece, preferably the last segment piece of the opening path. The brake may be built as a friction brake or be built as a brake clasp that operates in the opening of the wing up to a pre-defined opening angle of a brake body (10). The brake body may be built as a bolts. The friction brake, especially as a brake spar, and the bolts may be directly integrated in the stop. The brake spar may have a base body (15) that may be partially covered with a friction coating (16). The base body may be made from a first material and the friction coating made from a second material that has a friction coefficient that is higher than the first material.
