Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1830045A1] The pump (1) has a case (2) with a radial flow impeller (3) which is mounted on a drive shaft (4). An outer cage (9``) serving as a pulley drives the shaft in rotation. A coupling device having a compression chamber (25) is arranged between the cage and the shaft according to temperature in a water circuit connected to the pump. A compression unit controls volume of the chamber according to water in the circuit. The unit has a deformable chamber containing a ductile liquid under effect of heat, and a deformable wall (22) separates the heat from the chamber (25).
