Abstract (en)

In a fuel injection control apparatus for an internal combustion engine, misfiring during the engine start-up is suppressed, and the time from the start-up initiation to the start-up completion is set to a more appropriate time. A fuel injection control apparatus for a compression ignition-type internal combustion engine that has a plurality of cylinders includes fuel injection valves that are provided for each of the cylinders and inject fuel into each of the cylinders; combustion state detecting means that evaluates or detects the combustion state in each of the cylinders; and fuel injection timing setting means that alters the fuel injection timing in a cylinder that the combustion state detecting means has evaluated or detected to have misfired to a first fuel injection timing. Specifically, the fuel injection timing for each cylinder is altered.
