Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2006067202A1] The invention relates to an injection mold comprising one or several planes separating the mold, wherein rigid components, optionally in addition with other particularly moveable mold components, form one or several mould cavities, into which a liquid or semi-liquid plastic molding material can be injected. Elements (6) are superficially inserted into moveable and/or fixed components of the mold on the contact surfaces of fixed mold components or mold components that can move towards each other. Said elements are softer and are more conductible to heat than structural steel and do not enter into direct contact with the plastic melt. Said elements (6) result in better heat exchange between adjacent components of the mold and lead to better and more homogeneous reproduction of structures in the surface of the mould by the plastic melt. The elements (6) also act as seals against the suctioning of air when the cavity/cavities are evacuated prior to injection of the plastic melt. This in turn has positive effects on structural reproduction by the plastic melt.
