[origin: WO2006061066A1] The invention relates to a method for regulating a compressed air supply system of a motor vehicle, said system comprising a drive motor which is used to drive the motor vehicle and can be connected to an air compressor by means of a couplable hydrodynamic clutch, in such a way that the air compressor feeds a compressed air system via an air outlet side. The inventive method comprises the following steps: the pressure in the compressed air system is detected and compared with a pre-determined minimum value; if the detected pressure is below the pre-determined minimum value, the hydrodynamic clutch is filled with a working medium in such a way that the air compressor is started; when the air compressor is started, the air outlet side of the air compressor is connected, for a pre-determined period of time, to the surroundings or to a low-pressure system, according to the rotational speed of the air compressor or the hydrodynamic clutch and/or according to the pressure in the compressed air system; and, once the period of time has lapsed, and the pre-determined rotational speed has been reached and/or when the pressure detected in the compressed air system is lower than a pre-determined value of a maximum counter-pressure that is smaller than the pre-determined minimum value, the air outlet side of the air compressor is connected to the compressed air system in such a way that the feeding begins.
