Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006048011A1] The invention relates to a method for dividing up a single-side coated thin plate of raw glass into individual panes of glass exhibiting a defined coating field. The plate of raw glass on the coated side thereof has layer-free tracks along virtual separating lines, wherein a) heat is produced inside the glass on the non-coated side of the plate of raw glass along a separating line by means of a laser jet and the heated point is quenched directly thereafter such that tensile stress is created along the separating line, b) a tensile stress is applied directly thereafter by means of bending about a horizontal axis located in the region of the separating line parallel thereto in the region of the non-coated side of the separating line until breaking is achieved, c) a tensile force which is directed away from the separating line, perpendicular to the axis of bending, is exerted during bending until breaking occurs.
