[origin: WO2006054975A1] Interferometer and autocorrelator based sensors are disclosed that are configured to have multiple sample arms (1410, 1414, 1418) which can be scanned and the backscattered low coherence light from a sample resolved in a single sweep of one or more variable delays (1458, 1464) of the sensor. Borescopes and catheters capable of scanning multiple sections or areas of materials and tissues using these sensors are described.
