Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006072513A1] The invention relates to a field device for processing data and parameters in a decentralised automation system, wherein the other connected components of a field bus of the decentralised automation system are communicated with each other by means of a field bus connected to the field device, a homogenous automation system is constructed from a plurality of encapsulated functional blocks which decentrally operate in the individual components of the field bus and communicate with each other. The aim of said invention is to develop a functional block for field busses used for process automation technology which make it possible to store and control in a simple manner data and/or parameters from different functional blocks of the automation system decentralised units and to autonomously re-parametering the functional blocks of a respective field device.
