[origin: EP1832403A2] Device for cutting a clay strand (2) comprises a blade (20) arranged in a cutting arrangement (11) having holders (12, 13) which pivot in the cutting arrangement. Preferred Features: The blade is formed as a cutting wire and the holders are formed as a wire holder. The cutting arrangement has a support in which the holders pivot via a bearing. The cutting arrangement has a carriage (16, 17) which moves along a guide (22, 24).
