[origin: EP1832726A2] The component has a pipe (4) formed in a funnel-shaped or cylindrical manner, where an exhaust gas flows from a longitudinal end (6) to another longitudinal end (7) of the pipe. The pipe has a longitudinal section (8) extending between the ends, where a wall of the section is provided with a perforation (10). A housing encloses the pipe in a circumferential direction and the pipe is connected to end areas (11, 12), which comprise the ends. The perforation is formed such that the section absorbs thermal longitudinal expansion forces between the pipe and the housing through flexible deformation.
