The device has a long elongated housing (3) with two wall sections (6, 7) that are provided laterally with respect to a base section (5) of the housing. The housing has a detachable cover (8) that is partially made of a transparent material. A retainer (11) fastens a flexible, long elongated illuminant (10) to the housing. The illuminant exhibits multiple light sources that are arranged parallel to each other, where the light sources are arranged within the illuminant. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an illumination arrangement with an illumination device (2) a method for installing an illumination device in a building.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Beleuchtungsvorrichtung (1) mit einem lang gestrecktem Gehäuse (3), wobei das Gehäuse (3) einen Bodenabschnitt (5) und wenigstens zwei bezüglich des Bodenabschnitts seitliche Wandabschnitte (6, 7) und einen abnehmbaren Deckel (8) aufweist, wobei der Deckel wenigstens teilweise aus einem transparenten Material besteht. Weiterhin ist wenigstens eine Halterung (11) zur Befestigung eines Leuchtkörpers (10) an einem Gehäuse (3) vorgesehen, wobei der Leuchtkörper eine lang gestreckte Gestalt aufweist und biegbar ist.
