[origin: EP1832814A2] The furnace (1) has a combustion chamber (7) and a pipe line system (3), which guides an air partly through the combustion chamber from a lower area to an upper area of the furnace. The pipe line system passes through a heat exchanger, such that a hot air, which is guided through the pipe line system through the combustion chamber, is discharged into the heat exchanger. The air guided through the pipe line system through the combustion chamber is a secondary air.
