[origin: EP1832843A1] A method for determining a route and a method for warning a driver of a vehicle and corresponding systems are provided. Based on road segment passage restriction information (11) and vehicle passage restriction data (21) stored in storage units (10,20) and a working memory unit (30), a route (ra,rb,rg,re) is determined or a warning signal is output depending on both the vehicle passage restriction data and the road segment passage restriction information. The vehicle passage restriction data may be easily adjusted using an input unit (50). Warning signals may be output via an output unit (60) or a warning unit (70).
