Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1833281A2] The hob has two glass ceramic plates (1) with different spectral infra-red (IR) transmission degrees, where the hob is designed as a cooking surface. Each plate has a cooking zone (2) that is heated bottom-up by a radiation heating device in connection with an adjusting temperature limiter, which limits an upper side temperature of the plates to a maximum value. One of the plates with a high spectral IR transmission degree has IR absorbing or reflecting designs for adapting to the other plate with a low spectral IR transmission degree by maintaining the temperature adjusted by the device.
