[origin: WO2006072383A1] The invention relates to a method for the integrated dosing and intermixing of small amounts of liquid. According to said method, at least one dosing reservoir (3) that is connected to a reaction reservoir (1) via at least one joining structure (11) is entirely filled with a first liquid, the at least one joining structure being preferably dimensioned such that the surface tension of the first liquid prevents the same from penetrating into the reaction reservoir, and the reaction reservoir is entirely filled with a second liquid such that the second liquid enters in contact with the first liquid on the joining structure. A flow pattern is created in the liquid at least in or on the reaction reservoir in order to thoroughly mix the liquids. The invention further relates to a device and an apparatus for carrying out the disclosed method as well as one use thereof.
