Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006072557A1] The invention relates to a printing unit (O1) of a printing machine, comprising at least one inking system (08) and at least one dampening system (09). The dampening system is associated with a form cylinder (07) which is arranged in the printing unit. The dampening unit comprises a cylinder train (41, 42, 43, 47, 48) which is provided with several successive cylinders. The cylinder train transports dampening means from dampening means source (44, 46) to the form cylinder by rotating the cylinders thereof. The form cylinder which drives the cylinder by friction is applied to the dampening means. Beginning by the roller which applies the dampening means to the form cylinder, each cylinder drives the cylinder which is in contact therewith, in a successive manner in the line of cylinders in the direction of the dampening means source, uniquely by friction exerted mutually on the respective cover surfaces thereof.
