Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2006072499A2] The invention relates to a method for influencing the exhaust gas characteristics of a motor vehicle provided with an internal combustion engine (11) by influencing the exhaust gas composition and/or temperature by means of an emission management system which comprises a control device (1) provided with an emission management algorithm (EMA) and at least one actuating device (3, 4, 5). The exhaust gas values can be optimised and the fuel consumption can be reduced, when the generator power is increased or decreased by means of an emission management operation carried out by the emission management system.
