The roller (1) has a rotating mantle (2), and two covers (3) covering an inner area together with the rotating mantle. A bearing pin (4) is arranged at the cover. An electric motor has a rotor (7) and a stator (8), and is arranged in the inner area, where the rotor stays in drive connection with the rotating mantle or with one of the two covers. The stator has a cover-sided supporting pin at an axial end, where the supporting pin is guided by the bearing pin. The stator is arranged radially within the rotor.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine drehbar gelagerte Walze (1) zum Leiten und Umlenken einer laufenden Bahn - mit einem Walzenmantel (2) sowie mit zwei Deckeln (3), die zusammen mit dem Walzenmantel (2) einen Innenraum umschließen - mit je einem Lagerzapfen (4), der am Deckel (3) angeordnet ist; - mit einem Elektromotor, umfassend einen Rotor (7) und einen Stator (8), zum Antreiben der Walze (1). Gemäß der Erfindung wird folgendes vorgesehen: - der Motor ist im Innenraum angeordnet; - der Rotor (7) des Motors steht mit dem Walzenmantel (2) oder mit einem der beiden Deckel (3) in Triebverbindung; - der Stator (8) des Motors weist wenigstens an einem axialen Ende einen deckelseitigen Tragzapfen (10) auf, der durch den betreffenden Lagerzapfen (4) des Stators hindurchgeführt ist.
