[origin: EP1835084A2] A building facade is assembled from an array of profiled posts/bars with recessed fire protection glass panels, attached in a gap to an insulator that also acts as a seal. The insulator (1) is a one-piece strip (8) made of thermoplastic material (9). The event of fire, the thermoplastic seal expands to close the air gap between the glass panels (3).
