[origin: EP1836934A1] The support has a base (4) including attachment units for attaching the base to a chassis (2, 3), a subbase, or a seat. A head (5) is arranged to house battens (6), or a plate, where the head includes a longitudinal axis (7) adapted to extend in the direction of width of the seat. An elastic connection (8) includes an arm (11) whose one end is integrated to the base and another end to the head by an intermediate articulation zone (12). The arm of the elastic connection extends in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the head.
