Abstract (en)
The method involves pressing a driver (80) onto shoulders of staples and driving-in the staples into a sheet-like material. An eyelet region of the staples is supported with a staple support (6) introduced between sides of the staples during driving-in of staples. The support is moved out from an eyelet region only when the sides passing through the material are largely bent. The support is removed from a supporting region of the eyelet during a return movement of the support, when a staple end of the driver passes beyond a bottom end of the support located opposite the material. An independent claim is also included for a wire stitcher with a stitching head.

Beim Heften von blattförmigen Materialien mit Ringösenklammern (2) ist in dem Heftkopf (26) eine Klammerstütze (6) mit einem Stützkörper (17) vorgesehen, die den Bereich der Ringöse (3) im Zuge des Eintreibvorganges stützt und erst dann aus der Ringöse (3) herausbewegt wird, wenn die durch das blattförmige Material hindurchtretenden Schenkel der Klammer (2) weitgehend umgebogen sind.
