Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1837599A2] The method involves switching-on heat source for a pyrolysis cleaning process in an oven, and measuring the oxygen concentration (b) in a cooking chamber or in an exhaust air path for the discharge of expelled moisture from the chamber by an oxygen sensor. The measured oxygen concentration is compared with a preset threshold value (GW) in an evaluation circuit of an electrical control. The heat source is switched-off if the measured concentration falls below the threshold value during the cleaning process or if the measured concentration exceeds the threshold value for the first time.
