[origin: EP1837888A2] The switch mat (14) surrounds and interlocks with the outer edge of the circuit board (12). The mat and circuit board are clamped-in between a layer on the plastic switch casing (10) and a holding frame (18) connected to the casing or base section. The layer on the switch casing is formed by molded contact ridges; thickness of the mat between these and the circuit board is reduced. The holding frame or base section is fastened by a clip connection to the switch casing.
