Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2006077078A1] The invention relates to a method and a device for ophthalmological appliances for examining the fundus of the eye by means of an optical system and electronic sensors for recording images. The inventive focussing device for ophthalmological appliances is designed according to the non-mydriatic principle and consists of a projection unit (3) projecting at least one focussing mark (1) in the infrared spectral region onto a surface in the eye, and a focussing unit (4), said units both being respectively displaceable along the optical axis (5). The two units are displaced by electronically controllable adjustment elements, simultaneously or individually, according to the corresponding specifications of an existing control unit. The invention ensures the necessary synchronisation between the projection unit and a focusing unit in a simple manner. In this way, not only the courses of adjustment over the entire focussing range can be adapted in an optimum manner, but also the tolerances of the optical modules from appliance to appliance can be individually compensated in a simple manner.
