Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006064046A2] The invention relates to a fluid bed device rotatable in one cylindrical chambers on in a succession of cylindrical chambers, wherein injectors (12) which are distributed around a circular wall (2) fixed to said cylindrical chamber(s) inject fluid(s) (13) along said wall in the form of successive layers which involve solid particles (17) crossing the said chamber(s) into a rapid rotational movement whose centrifugal force concentrates said particles along the wall, thereby forming a fluid bed rotating around one or several central chimneys (3) through which the fluids are removed. A method for catalytic polymerisation, drying or other treatment of the solid particles suspended in the rotatable fluid bed or for catalytic transformation of the fluids crossing said rotatable fluid bed by means of the inventive device is also disclosed.
