[origin: WO2006073543A2] A method of interaction between content providers and consumers on a communication system including the steps of acquiring and managing digital media assets for distribution to consumers through the communication system, where a workflow for distributing the digital media assets is managed through the communication system. Profile and preferences data are acquired facilitating the consumption of the digital media assets, where the digital media assets are transacted upon through the communication system. The management of digital media content and the digital media assets are adjusted by the content providers, for delivery through the communication system based on content provider rules, consumer preferences, media type and the consumer's device.
