Abstract (en)
The needle clamp (7) is aligned for receiving a sewing needle (4) to hold the needle at a needle bar (2) in a holding position. An adjusting device is provided at the needle clamp for adjusting the holding position of the needle clamp in a direction transverse to the longitudinal direction of the needle clamp. The adjusting device is aligned for adjusting the relative position of the sewing needle in relation to a needle protection (11) and to a gripper (6), which belongs to the sewing machine for gripping the thread guided from the sewing needle.

Der erfindungsgemäße Nadelhalter (7) ist insbesondere für Industrienähmaschinen vorgesehen, bei denen Nähmaschinennadeln mit unterschiedlicher Nadelstärke und vorzugsweise zylindrischem Kolben oder Schaft in Querrichtung verstellbar gelagert bzw. gehalten sind. Damit kann eine Abstimmung der Relativposition zwischen Nähnadel (4) und Greifer (6) vorgenommen werden, ohne dazu die Greiferposition und/oder die Nadelschutzposition verstellen zu müssen.
