The light has closed housing (28,30) with a front side (14), a rear side (16) and a circumferential side (18), connecting the front and the rear sides. An illuminant (20) and a reflector are provided in the housing. The devices (34-41) reduce the heat emission from the rear side to the outside of the housing. The multilayer housing has a hot air volume (42) inside the rear side as well as an outer hood (26) and inner hood (40) enclosing a closed air volume, where the outer hood is made of plastic and the inner hood is made of metal e.g. aluminum, which is fixed with an annular frame.

Eine medizinische Leuchte weist ein geschlossenes Gehäuse (26,28,30,34) mit einer Vorderseite (14), einer Rückseite (16) und einer die Vorder- und Rückseite verbindenden Umfangsseite (18) auf. In dem Gehäuse sind ein Leuchtmittel (20) und ein Reflektor (22) vorgesehen und es sind Mittel (34-42) vorgesehen, um die Wärmeabgabe von der Rückseite (16) des Gehäuses nach außen zu reduzieren.
