Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1841294A2] The unit has output circuit, which is a working circuit between the preheating condition, generates the electrical voltage for preheating of the filament. The resistance R cof the filament before preheating and from this resistance R h, computed during the starting of the fluorescent lamp from the electric circuit for recognizing the condition of the electrode and the ratio of the resistances of the negative pole R hby R cis calculated. The ratio R hby R ccontrols the time point of the changeover of the output switch from the condition of the preheating in the spark condition. The spark condition, generates required higher electrical voltage for the preheating and is switched to and fro.
