Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2006079327A1] Disclosed is a device for placing a human being in a suspended oscillating position for relaxing and therapeutic purposes. In previously known horizontal relaxing devices, support areas for the whole body are mounted in a swinging, oscillating, or springy fashion such that all body parts are synchronously subjected to the same movements while the joints remain rather immobile. The aim of the invention is to make it possible to lie on dimensionally stable support areas in an oscillating manner while moving joints. Said aim is achieved by a lying device comprising at least 5 dimensionally stable body part support areas (1) which are characterized in that the same are mounted in a suspended oscillating, upright swinging, or robot kinematic fashion with translational, rotational, and oscillating degrees of kinematic freedom. Human beings lying on the inventive lying device experience significant tension relief or relaxation. Novel forms of therapy are made possible especially when the position is controlled electronically.
