[origin: WO2006079525A1] The invention relates to a compressor, particularly a compressor for the air-conditioning system of a motor vehicle, comprising a housing (1) and a compressor unit, which is housed inside the housing (1), driven by a drive shaft and which serves to draw in and compress a refrigerant. The compressor unit is regulated by the pressure (P<SUB>c</SUB>) prevailing in a driving mechanism chamber delimited, in essence, by the housing (1). In addition, the compressor comprises a regulating (17) and/or control device for the suction gas-side refrigerant mass flow and/or for the suction pressure and/or the suction density.
