The rack consists of uprights (3) and horizontal beams (6) resting on a loose-mounted transverse pin (13) within an elongated slot (14). The rack rests on a rail-mounted trolley that is advanced into a kiln prior to firing. The slots are roughly semi-circular and have rounded corners.
