[origin: DE102005003500A1] A rack supports green ceramic products during the stacking, transport and firing processes. The rack has uprights that rest in a box base to which they are attached by spring (6) mounted steel plates (7, 8, 9). The tension applied to the springs is adjusted by screw bolts (4). The springs are rated 500 to 2000 N. The steel plates are thermally de-coupled from the sleeve (3) by ceramic thermal insulation of e.g. ceramic hard fibres or a layer of mica.
