[origin: FR2881250A1] The method involves printing a bar code, by a bar code print maker (50), on each of postal items, where the code is constituted of identification parts of status of dispatching of the items, which is variable for each item. The identification parts are transmitted between a sender and a distributor. The identification parts are activated by the distributor in an information system of a distributor network. An independent claim is also included for a device permitting the implementation of a postal item pre-postage method.
