Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1842666A2] The method involves measuring the thickness of each workpiece (7) before or during the transport to a printing gap (2), which is adjusted before the printing by parallel or slant angular changes of the gap of two press rollers (3) together. The thickness is measured at two points, where the line connecting the two measuring points, runs parallel to the axis of press rollers. The measurement is done in real time in the direction of transport across the entire length of the workpiece. The additional forces, which act upon the bearing of the press rollers, are measured during the printing. An independent claim is also included for a device for accomplishing the method for printing disc shaped workpieces in printing gap.
