Abstract (en)
A locking mechanism for a collapsible ladder (1) comprising several ladder sections, each ladder section comprising two ladder bars (2, 3) arranged parallelly to each other and interconnected at one end by a rung to form a ladder section, and where the locking mechanism comprises retaining mechanisms (41) provided on each ladder bar (2, 3), adjacent the upper end of the ladder bar (2, 3) and a first locking hole (34) adjacent the lower end of the ladder bar (2, 3), and where each retaining mechanism (41) comprises a locking pin (24) being spring biased towards an extended position in order to engage the first locking hole (34) provided in the ladder bar (2, 3) of a ladder section positioned thereabove, each ladder bar (2, 3) being provided with a second locking hole (34b) adjacent the lower end of the ladder bar (2, 3), below the first locking hole (34).
