Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1843044A1] The compressor has a rotor drum (2) that is driven by a turbine and including rotor blades (11-14) that are provided at an outer compressor stage. Stator blades are provided at the rotor blades. The rotor drum is formed from rotor rings (7-10) with fiber belts (18, 21) that are arranged in the regions of high centrifugal force load. The rotor drum is made from a high temperature resistant fibers that are bedded with polymer e.g. polyamide, polypropylene and epoxy resin.
