[origin: DE102005005638B3] Method for cleaning, activating or treating workpieces using carbon dioxide snow streams comprises adding a carbon dioxide mixture via a nozzle opening (7) of a mixing chamber (1) into which a central gas stream (2) made from carrier gas, metering to the gas stream radially from outside, mixing, accelerating the mixed gas in an outlet nozzle (14) and passing onto the workpiece. An independent claim is also included for a device for carrying out the above method. Preferred Features: The gas stream is adjusted to a temperature of 10-40[deg] C on entering the mixing chamber. The gas stream is displaced before entering the mixing chamber. The carbon dioxide mixture consists of carbon dioxide gas and carbon dioxide particles. The gas stream consists of water droplets.
