[origin: WO2006077093A1] The inventive electric connector comprises an insulating casing (13) provided with dimples (15) for receiving respective contacts connected to cables (40), a cap (17) which forms a guide for said cables and is arranged and fixed to the casing (13), a manoeuvring member (19) which movably mounted on an assembly formed by the casing (13) and the cap (17) for interacting in a clutch manner with an additional member placed on the counter part of the connector in order to ensure the coupling and decoupling of the connector and the counter part thereof. Said manoeuvring member (19) is movably mounted on the cap (17). A method for assembling the inventive connector is also disclosed.
